Deep Dive into Cupping! Why cupping helps!

The Queen of Cups is born out of my passion for the traditional Chinese practice of Cupping. Although Cupping is not the sole focus of my work, I see the tremendous therapeutic benefits it brings. I wholeheartedly endorse integrating Cupping into your wellness routine, as it can significantly enhance your overall well-being. Moreover, Cupping serves as an invaluable tool for me, preserving my hands from the inevitable wear and tear associated with massage therapy. By incorporating this technique, I can provide my clients with exceptional care while extending the longevity of my practice.

Chinese Cupping has been used for centuries and is now popular worldwide due to its many benefits. In my practice, I use two types of cups for different reasons. The first type is made of soft and flexible Silicone. Pressing the middle down creates a vacuum effect lifting superficial tissues into the cup creating space and blood flow within the layers of soft tissue.  When tissue is warmed with oil applied, these cups flow easily over the tissues. Breaking down adhesion and allowing proper flow of your Lymphatic system.

The second type of cups I use are made of a sturdier plastic material and are meant for deeper therapeutic work. These cups, due to their rigid structure and the vacuum created when held in hand, produce a similar effect to the silicone cups. However, they allow for a deeper impact. The stronger suction created by these cups pulls the superficial layers of tissue deeper into the muscles, resulting in a more intense therapeutic connection. This deeper connection is also what causes the bruises, which I refer to as "octopus kisses." The severity of these bruises depends on how tense and tight the muscles are.

This type of cupping is particularly useful when combined with deep tissue massage, as it provides quicker access to deeper layers of muscle. The increased blood flow resulting from the cupping process helps lubricate the muscle tissue, facilitating easier release and offering longer-lasting effects.

The suction effect created by cupping brings more blood into the affected area of tissue. This increased blood flow helps create space and movement, especially in areas that may be dense, stagnant, or sore. The fresh blood carries oxygen and nutrients that promote healing and relaxation in those tissues. By bringing in more blood, cupping helps to rejuvenate and revitalize the affected areas, bringing relief and improving overall tissue health.

Dynamic cupping is a special kind of massage that uses suction cups to help your muscles and body feel better. It's like a combination of massage and cupping. Unlike regular cupping, the cups move around your body during the massage. This can be really helpful if you have muscle pain, tightness in your back or arms, or even nerve problems like sciatica or neck issues.

But don't worry, you won't end up looking like an octopus attacked you! The goal of dynamic cupping is to make you feel better without leaving any noticeable marks on your skin. It's all about helping you feel good and move better, without any octopus-like surprises.
